Hilltop
Once the custom home was completed, we began work on the landscape, creating an outdoor space that balances functionality with natural elegance and ties seamlessly into the home’s design. The project included 2,200 square feet of interlocking stone to form a durable and refined parking area. Along the perimeter, we installed Cassara 12”x27” large rectangular pavers, laid short-end to define the edges, while the main surface was infilled with Cassara 12”x17” Scandina Grey pavers, set on a 45-degree angle in a brick pattern for visual interest and contrast.
An oversized flagstone walkway leads from the driveway down the side of the home, connecting the rear deck and bunkie. Dark mulch borders the paths to provide a clean, finished look and enhance the natural textures of the stonework.
At the rear of the property, flagstone was also used to create a circular firepit area, surrounded by guillotined armour stone seating for a rustic, durable finish.
To highlight key features of the landscape, flat black back-up lights were installed to accent newly planted trees and shrubs, while path lights illuminate the walkways and steps. In-ground lights were positioned to showcase the white pines flanking the driveway, enhancing curb appeal after dark.
Framing the entrance, custom-sliced granite entry stones were placed on either side of the motorized gate, and the new 8-foot rough hemlock fencing throughout the property, finished in solid black stain, provides a bold, natural backdrop to the entire landscape design.
